When I was introduced to the media course work structure and aim of it I had the initial idea to create a reality show based genre video, because on ITV and Channel 5 the first genres that came to mind were the likes of Documentaries, Reality Shows e.g. Love Island, or talk shows like The Jeremy Kyle Show. I would be documenting how they spend their free time, by going out with friends, partying, getting up to mischief. Being a teenager, a sociable one, I have access to large friend groups and parties and other outings that I can document and show the reality of through a video clip.
Aims and Intentions: How did it start? A first-hand view into the party life of todays of today’s youth, is our future safe in their hands? This documentary will be presenter lead, therefore the majority of the clip will consist of diegetic sounds, however there will be short series of non-diegetic sounds where the camera will be panning around to give a sense of locations and settings where the presenter will be doing a voice over and sharing information and facts. There will also be a series of 3-4 interviews. the majority of camera work will be a standard format focusing on the presenter following him around, however the camera will be used in various ways to give a sense of location and setting, a range of shots including close ups, and medium close ups to focus on people within the documentary and props used. I will construct representations of individuals and a select group of the British youth through specific choice of costumes...
