Story Board

Intro: Shot 1: the intro will be a panning shot following the subjects footsteps, a low level shot where the feet fill the frame. Shot 2: this shot will be a still shot of leisure to give an overview of the location. this shot will be followed immediately by Shot 3: a panning shot of leisure to help set the location. These first 3 shots will be the introduction that will have a voice over that's edited in, this voice over will be giving information on the location, what the documentary is about and statistics on smoking and the dangers of smoking. Moving on from the intro, Shot 4: this shot will be a still shot where we are introduced to the reporter, a friendly face. Shot 5: is a panning shot where it is continuous from the still shot 4 and we follow the presenter to a "secret location" to which we then meet people smoking. Shot 6: this shot will be a short 2 second shoot on a fag/joint. Shot 7: shot 7 will be a still shot of the reporter interviewing ...

what I'm trying to achieve.

what I'm trying to achieve is a series of documentaries that has a different topic every week. Each week it will have the same presenter, a presenter that is likeable and has a personality that the audience will like, this presenter will be sent on a journey each week and the audience will be sent on it with him/her. For my particular project the documentary will be about the British youth and what they do with their own time and investigating into teenagers smoking and possibly the use of drugs and whether they're social smokers/users or whether it is becoming an addiction and whether their parents are aware, this will all be investigated and discovered by the presenter within the documentary. originally I was going to be creating a documentary on the British youths party life and drug use but decided I wasn't 100% sure how to go about that and what footage to record so I've come up with a more specific idea of exploring into teenagers smoking/smoking the illegal dru...

Aims and intentions

Aims and Intentions: How did it start?   A first-hand view into the party life of todays of today’s youth, is our future safe in their hands?   This documentary will be presenter lead, therefore the majority of the clip will consist of diegetic sounds, however there will be short series of non-diegetic sounds where the camera will be panning around to give a sense of locations and settings where the presenter will be doing a voice over and sharing information and facts. There will also be a series of 3-4 interviews. the majority of camera work will be a standard format focusing on the presenter following him around, however the camera will be used in various ways to give a sense of location and setting, a range of shots including close ups, and medium close ups to focus on people within the documentary and props used. I will construct representations of individuals and a select group of the British youth through specific choice of costumes...

Pitch

Title - How did it start? Logline - A first hand view into the party life of todays of todays youth, is our future safe in their hands? Audience - Typically the target audience would be aimed at working/middle class parents, generally for naïve parents that are oblivious to what their kids get up to when they're out.  Genre: Documentary, about the British youth. USP: using a presenter with a personality, they will be investigating and unravelling the secrets of todays youth.
